Technical Areas

BSCES' nine ASCE institute chapters and technical groups are focused on specific areas of practice and bring members together to sponsor events that feature the latest developments in these areas. Many of these groups also provide scholarships and recognition awards to students and professionals. Institute chapters and technical groups often coordinate with their ASCE counterparts, other professional societies and each other to address areas of mutual interest and concern.

The activities of these groups are directed by a managing committee made up of member volunteers. BSCES members are encouraged to reach out to these committees to get involved, and help to shape the future of BSCES.
