PRIME AE Group , a multi-discipline A/E firm with (17) office locations and over 430 employees within the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Southeast Regions, is seeking a Structural - Bridge Engineer for our Boston, MA area office (Foxborough, Mansfield)

This position requires strong technical skills in Engineering analysis and design combined with a proven background of technical leadership on bridge design projects for development of Construction BID documents.

Description / Position Overview

  • Serve in a Lead Design Engineer role including the planning analysis and design of bridge projects ranging from conventional to innovative bridge types.
  • Perform structural load calculations, construction cost estimates and bridge plans / specifications development.
  • Oversee geometric layout and quantity development.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior/entry level engineering staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, a MS is a plus.
    • Registered Massachusetts Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, or the ability to transfer license Massachusetts within 90 days of hire.
    • Registration as a PE in Rhode Island is a strong plus.
  • Experience with MassDOT and MBTA. RIDOT experience a plus.
  • 5-10 years of combined bridge design and analysis required.
  • Experience with AASHTO LRFD preferred, AREMA experience a plus.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of bridge design projects.
  • Experience with rehabilitation and repair of common New England bridge types.
  • Knowledge and experience with accelerated bridge design and construction and innovative bridge types a plus.
