Seven new stations will be constructed as part of the project, including the relocated Lechmere Station, along with a new vehicle storage and maintenance facility in Somerville. Once complete, 45,000 additional riders will have access to the fast and efficient service to downtown Boston.
This presentation will provide an inside look at the design and construction of this transformative project as well as the innovative steps taken to get the project moving again after it had been stalled. Following the presentation, the group will tour the project and delve further into the construction means and methods.
