Committees

BSCES‘s affairs are managed by more than 18 active board-level and operational committees, which provide administrative, outreach, networking, and professional development opportunities for BSCES members. While some committees are chaired and filled by BSCES board members, many are staffed by other BSCES member-volunteers who are interested in furthering the operational objectives of the committee and the society.

Getting involved in a committee is an excellent way to develop leadership, management, and other valuable skills that you would not get the opportunity to learn as quickly in a typical workplace environment.  As a committee member, you have the opportunity to apply your technical and professional expertise to important issues, and directly ensure the success of BSCES.

Follow the links below to see a description of each operational committee, and contact the committee chair for additional information or to learn how to volunteer.
