YMG Student Scholarship

The BSCES YMG Student Scholarship is overseen by the Younger Member Group (YMG). BSCES YMG seeks to support and foster the development of students as they enter the civil engineering profession. The BSCES YMG Student Scholarship is descended from a combination of the former BSCES Desmond Fitzgerald, Howe-Walker, and William P. Morse Scholarships.

This merit-based scholarship consists of two (2) $5,000 awards. This award may be used for tuition, books, housing, or other education-related needs.

The BSCES Younger Member Group is currently accepting scholarship applications until January 9, 2026.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the BSCES YMG Student Scholarship, a student must:

  • Be attending a Massachusetts college or university for at least one full academic year and accepted for admission or currently enrolled in an ABET accredited program for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Have at least one full academic year remaining prior to completing their degree.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in civil engineering.
  • Be a BSCES Member.
