This award is presented to a BSCES member, with 15 years or more professional experience, who has exhibited extraordinary leadership in the form of managerial leadership, technical excellence, professional integrity, and mentorship of other engineers.
The BSCES Awards Committee solicits nominations for this award during the first quarter of the calendar year and submits nominees for the BSCES Board of Government’s consideration. The award is presented at the BSCES Annual Awards Celebration held in June.
The 2025 Engineer of the Year award recipient was Karen Kelley, PE, of CDM Smith.
