Malek Al-Khatib, PE is the BSCES President. He is a Louis Berger vice president, the firm’s U.S. structural engineer resource director, and Massachusetts operation manager. He has more than 35 years of technical and managerial experience and has worked on engineering design and construction projects of various sizes and complexity, locally, nationally, and internationally. He has successfully managed numerous design and construction projects of various sizes such as Route 128 widening, Westwood-Dedham-Needham, MA, Route 2 Crosby’s Corner Improvement, Concord, MA, Alternative Delivery Methods projects, and several Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) projects. Malek served the BSCES at various capacities in the past, including the chair of the Structural Group, chair of Infrastructure Group, Assistant Treasurer, and Treasurer, and represented the BSCES at the Regional Transportation Advisory Council and currently at the Engineering Center Education Trust.
