Future City

 

The regional Future City Competition is run by the Massachusetts Pre-Engineering Program. The Future City Competition reaches out to a broad realm of Civil Engineering, such as site development and surveying, environmental, traffic and transportation disciplines. The contest requires teams of 7th and 8th graders to design a city using Sim City software, then build a physical model to present and describe to judges, and write an essay about a specific aspect of the city. BSCES provides assistance in the form of mentors and promotion.
