

The Lester Gaynor Fund was established on December 20, 1982 from a gift of $1,500 from Mr. Gaynor to the Section. This award is to be presented annually to a BSCES member (first consideration) or to a registered professional engineer (second consideration) who is engaged in the practice of civil engineering. The award recipient shall be an individual who has been outstanding as a part-time elected or appointed city or town official and whose reimbursement for this service has not been more than an honorarium.
The BSCES Awards Committee requests nominations for this award annually and submits nominees for the BSCES Board of Government's consideration. The Board selects the Lester Gaynor Award recpient who is presented the award during the Annual BSCES Awards Dinner.
