BSCES promotes engineering leadership on a state and national level through: - Public relations initiatives to increase public awareness about the responsibilities and contributions of civil engineers
- Advocating for improved infrastructure in Massachusetts with the 2009 BSCES Raising the Grade in Massachusetts brochure and progress reports from 2010 and 2011
- Providing testimony and information to legislators on civil engineering related issues
- Providing a civil engineering legislative fellow to the State Legislature at the Society’s expense to assist law makers with technical issues
- Undertaking initiatives to encourage greater public involvement in civil engineering related issues
- Promoting professional and personal integrity and ethical behavior in the civil engineering profession
- Recognizing and acknowledging our members’ contributions to the civil engineering profession and the public through Awards
