Engineering Management

MISSION

To focus on the understanding, development and enhancement of the different aspects of leadership in the field of engineering including planning, resource allocation and the controlling of the construction organization and engineering of projects.


GROUP CHARGE
• Promote the personal and managerial growth and development of all Engineering Management Group members.
• Sponsor a minimum of three lectures per year.
• Manage the Joseph C. Lawler Engineering Management Lecture <Joseph C. Lawler Engineering Management Fund>.
• Emphasize engineering management at the individual and project level
• Produce and review papers for the BSCES Journal.
• Work with learning institutions on development of engineering management programs.
• Identify potential recipients of the ASCE-National Parcel-Sverdrup Award.
• Further the engineering management education of BSCES members and to promote a cooperative and collaborative working relationship among engineering consultants, firms and groups in the Greater Boston area.
