

The Committee requests from each Technical Group and appropriate committee chairpersons (listed below) detailed income and expenses anticipated for the following fiscal year. The following committees are to be contacted for inclusion in each year's budget process: Auditing Committee (every 4 years) Engineers Week Government Affairs History and Heritage Investment Library Membership Minority Affairs Student Affairs An annual budget shall also be obtained from the Freeman Fund. These budgets, together with the cost of office management obtained from the executive director, become the basis of the operating budget which is prepared for consideration by the Executive Committee. This operating budget details expected income and expenses for the following fiscal year and is presented to the Executive Committee no later than the April board meeting. The Committee chair shall keep a record of all activities and procedures used by the committee during the preceding three years as well as copies of all budget request forms received from each Technical Group and committee chair and all recent committee reports in a notebook. The notebook shall be given to the incoming Committee chair by the outgoing chair at the annual meeting (May). |
