BSCES Past Presidents Committee

On February 3, 2011, the BSCES Executive Committee Meeting voted unanimously to create the Past Presidents Committee (PPC) to encourage and retain past president involvement in the Society. The committee’s charge is to provide membership and technical group support, to maintain an institutional memory for the Society, to provide counsel as requested by the president to the BSCES Board of Government (BOG) and technical groups on any matter concerning the section, and to discuss any matter requested by the president concerning the section or its membership and report any findings, conclusions and recommen-dations to the BSCES board.

 

A recent request from the BOG has been to increase BSCES membership through our partici-pating engineering firms, colleges and universities and state organizations. In order to accomplish this goal, the PPC has invited select firms and organizations and leaders of the engineering industry to our first Engineering Leadership Reception scheduled for November 17, 2012 at TEC. This invitation only event will feature engineering leaders highlighting the benefit of BSCES membership in addition to touring our renovated facilities at One Walnut Street.

 

The PPC looks forward to a successful event with hopes it will become a yearly tradition.
